PowerTrunk and Select Spectrum Announce Private 4G/5G and TETRA Networks on the 1670-1675 MHz Band

Dual-Band Networks supported by combined TETRA and cellular technology solution from PowerTrunk

PowerTrunk Inc. and Select Spectrum are pleased to offer Critical Infrastructure organizations improved options to support their secure wireless telecommunications needs in the U.S. The companies are collaborating to advance compatibility of PowerTrunk's Private 4G/5G and TETRA Networks products with 1670-1675 MHz Band frequencies, offered by Select Spectrum. The products are ideal for Utilities and Critical Infrastructure Industry (UCII) organizations seeking to deploy both private mobile radio and 4G/5G applications.

PowerTrunk and Select Spectrum have committed to the development, promotion and implementation of end-to-end solutions that will utilize the 1670-1675 MHz 4G/5G frequencies in concert with UHF mission critical LMR bands in a combined innovative wireless system. The integrated offering will significantly improve upon the existing options available to UCII organizations and provide superior economics and functionality.

Berk Tanguner, Senior Vice President of Sales of PowerTrunk Inc., commented, "We are delighted to collaborate with Select Spectrum on this offering built upon PowerTrunk's state-of-the-art mission-critical TETRA technology, which has already been field-proven at many government and high-level customers here in the U.S. and around the world. We are now adding our commitment to extend our R&D to modify PowerTrunk's infrastructure and subscriber devices to be compatible with the 1670-1675 MHz 4G/5G band. The integrated mobile radio network will simultaneously operate through PowerTrunk's in-house developed, unique and innovative TETRA / LTE dual mode Core Network product that will deliver significant reduction in the total cost of ownership to UCIIs."

Select Spectrum President Robert Finch added, "For over a decade we have worked to help UCII organizations obtain the licensed spectrum rights required for the foundation of reliable private wireless networks. We are excited to see the expansion of support for 4G / 5G capabilities now available nationwide for localized leasing in the TDD 1670-1675 MHz band. Our firm also offers a number of LMR frequencies to facilitate this unique partnership with PowerTrunk and better leverage the full benefits afforded by integrated dual band Private 4G/5G and TETRA networks to organizations that support vital services to the public."
